The former president also warned that, not only will he cancel the ‘bad’ deal, he will prosecute government officials behind it.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on TV XYZ, he said the corruption risk assessment report by the former Special Prosecutor will be his basis.

“I assure you that if I win the December elections I will act on the Agyapa report. The deal is full of corruption and I am going to act on it,” Mr Mahama said.

“All the monies that have gone to people will be retrieved, the government officials will be questioned and be asked to return the money,” the former President said.

He also touched on the alleged bastardization of state institutions under the current NPP administration.

Mr. Mahama warned that the National Communications Authority (NCA) can shut the internet on December 7 if things are not going the way of the government.

“One of the tragedies of the Akufo-Addo government is the bastardization of state agencies. And the NCA has been an example. In my recent interview with Abusua FM, we had advertised the show, then on the day, the NCA took their frequency off so they had to shift to Ultimate FM.

“I’m also aware of what they did to Joy when they were going to broadcast that investigative piece on the National Lotteries. Joe Anokye is handling the NCA as a political office. I think on election day they can shut down the internet or any of the things dictators do. I hope we win and stop all that,” he said.

Mr. Mahama also expressed concerns over the conduct of the Police in recent times. He said the image of the Police service has been bastardized by the Akufo-Addo government.
