SHIFTERS Documentary and “The Earth, Our Home” Animations Premiere in Accra

SHIFTERS is a compelling documentary film that brings audiences face to face with individuals and communities living on the frontlines of climate change and environmental degradation. Through powerful audio-visual storytelling, the film transforms statistics into lived experiences, giving voice to communities most affected by environmental challenges yet often least heard.

Complementing the documentary is “The Earth, Our Home,” a series of animated films created specifically for children. The animations aim to educate and empower young audiences as environmental advocates, helping them understand their role in protecting the planet from an early age.

Together, these audio-visual productions spotlight urgent environmental issues including clean cooking, plastic waste, illegal mining (galamsey), deforestation, air pollution, and broader environmental degradation. Beyond highlighting the risks, the films also present practical solutions, inspiring audiences to take informed and meaningful action against climate change.

The Strategic Youth Network for Development (SYND) will officially premiere SHIFTERS and The Earth, Our Home on Saturday, 7th February 2026, at Alliance Française, Accra, starting at 6:00 PM. The premiere promises an evening of reflection, learning, and engagement around climate action and environmental responsibility.
