Portside 15th Anniversary Cocktail in Tema

Last week Thursday, the GNBCC Team and members moved to Tema to a beautifully organized networking cocktail evening held at the Portside compound with a very warm and lively atmosphere, to celebrate their 15 years in Ghana.

Guests enjoyed a beautiful live band performance, great music, a wide variety of delicious food, a local and cocktail bar, and a warm ambience that set the perfect tone for the night.

This networking cocktail was organized in collaboration with GNBCC, and so present were GNBCC members, together with the staff and some partners of Portside, creating a vibrant mix of people from across sectors to celebrate this remarkable milestone.

Portside is an international group of companies established in the Netherlands, operating as Ships Agency West Africa specialists. They operate as Ship Agency specialists at the Tema and Takoradi ports in Ghana and at the port of Lomé in Togo.

The evening’s program was wonderfully moderated by Barnabas Apom, Senior Project Manager at GNBCC, who opened the program by inviting Bernice Aikins, Senior Commercial Coordinator, to warmly welcome all guests and express appreciation for their presence. She proudly announced Portside’s 15-year journey and their joy in celebrating this achievement with everyone.

We later received addresses from Kwame Yeboah, General Manager Ghana, and Betina Gbadago, Managing Director Togo, who both reiterated the reason and essence of the gathering. They thanked their teams for their hard work and dedication over the years and made a toast to a beautiful evening.

Hilde Famaey, General Manager of GNBCC, also delivered a short address during the event. She expressed how delighted GNBCC was to be part of such a significant celebration and encouraged all guests to take advantage of the evening to build as many valuable networks as possible, emphasizing that meaningful connections are crucial for supporting and growing their businesses.

To make the evening even more exciting, a raffle draw was held, where some lucky invited guests won customizable golf balls as souvenirs.

This was truly a beautiful and memorable cocktail, with the stunning harbour view, lively atmosphere, and warm interactions making the celebration even more special.
