HBP Calls for Proposals for a Horticulture Sector Needs Assessment

The Horticulture Business Platform (HBP) is inviting proposals from qualified independent consultants to undertake a comprehensive Horticulture Sector Needs Assessment in Ghana.

The assessment will help HBP build a verified, evidence-based understanding of the challenges facing businesses and other actors across Ghana’s horticulture value chain. It will identify and rank key regulatory, market, financial and operational constraints, with findings informing HBP’s future policy engagements and its inaugural State of the Sector Report.

Who should apply?

HBP is looking for an independent consultant with at least three years of relevant professional experience in Ghana’s horticulture and/or agriculture sector. Applicants should have experience conducting needs assessments, sector assessments, market studies or similar research, as well as strong mixed-methods research and quantitative and qualitative data analysis capabilities.

The Assignment in Brief

Engagement: Independent Consultant
Duration: Four weeks from contract signing
Budget: GHS 45,000, inclusive of all fees and expenses
Proposal Deadline: 21st September 2026

Interested consultants should submit a technical proposal, including their methodology and work plan, a financial proposal as a separate PDF, CV and evidence of relevant previous experience.
