Last week Tuesday, the 29th<\/sup> August 2023, the Third Stakeholder Meeting was held at the Volta Serene Hotel in Ho, with a full house of farmers, agronomists, exporters, food processors and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far, the HBP has organized three main sensitization workshops across various regions in Ghana, namely, the \u00a0Greater Accra Region<\/a>,\u00a0Ashanti Region<\/a>\u00a0and Volta Region, with its final workshop scheduled\u00a0 for November this year in the Northern Region.

The HBP is an integral part of the Private Sector Development (PSD) project, a substantial initiative supported by the Netherlands Embassy and administered by GNBCC. To shed more light on the HBP, we have a staff feature by\u00a0Barnabas K. Apom<\/a>, who speaks about the platform’s vision and goals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The primary aim of the HBP is to create a vibrant community that brings together all stakeholders in the horticulture sector. This platform serves as a hub for networking, information sharing, and fostering business collaborations.
 
The meeting was moderated by Barnabas K. Apom<\/a>, the Project Manager of HBP at GNBCC, who  commenced the event with a warm welcome address on behalf of GNBCC, followed by a short message about the embassy’s vision and the background behind the formation of the HBP.
 
HBP Core Member, Emmanuel Kissiedu<\/a> from African Tiger, and Anthony Tamakloe<\/a>, the vice Chairman of the HBP, provided valuable insights into the HBP’s activities thus far and emphasized the importance of organizations joining the platform.

We were also honoured to have informative presentations from our two core-member organizations, East West Seeds and Holland GreenTech. Deodatus Temu<\/a> presented on behalf of East-West Seed<\/a>, while Sarah Araba Gyasi showcased the initiatives of Holland Greentech<\/a>. Both presentations highlighted ongoing projects within their respective organizations as well as how the HBP can contribute to the overall growth of the horticulture sector.

We express our gratitude to all the speakers and guests who attended this event, as your presence and contributions greatly contributed to its success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our next activities lined up for the year are the Fruits and Vegetables Fair<\/a>, happening from the 27th<\/sup> to 29th<\/sup> September, 2023 and the Final sensitization workshop in Tamale, the Northern Region.
