The event, moderated by Mrs. Hilde Famaey, General Manager of GNBCC, brought together senior executives for an evening of insightful dialogue, high-level networking, and strategic reflection on Ghana\u2019s economic outlook following the presentation of the 2026 National Budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The evening featured a keynote presentation by Mr. Kwame Ansa Akufo, Senior Manager at PwC Ghana, on the theme <em>\u201cThe 2026 Budget: Key Facts and Implications for Business.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Insights from the Presentation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Ansa Akufo provided an in-depth analysis of the 2026 Budget, highlighting the government\u2019s focus on fiscal consolidation, private sector stimulation, and industrial revitalization. He noted that the budget\u2019s key pillars included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sustaining macroeconomic stability while improving revenue mobilization through targeted tax reforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support for local industries via incentives in agriculture, manufacturing, and export diversification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Digital transformation and innovation as central enablers for efficient governance and private sector growth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Green financing and sustainability initiatives aimed at promoting climate-smart investments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He further discussed how the government\u2019s borrowing strategy for 2026 anchored largely on domestic <strong>investors<\/strong> could shape liquidity conditions and interest rate dynamics in the financial markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhile 2026 offers renewed optimism, businesses must adopt proactive tax and financial planning strategies to remain competitive in this evolving economic landscape,\u201d Mr. Ansa Akufo emphasized.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the Speaker<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Kwame Ansa Akufo is a Senior Manager in the Clients and Markets Development (CMD) unit at PwC Ghana, where he leads the production of thought leadership content and market insights for both public and private sector clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He has extensive experience advising top organizations, including the Ministry of Finance, MESTI, GCB Bank, and Absa, on strategy, competitiveness, and business model transformation.
