Expanding a business beyond the domestic market requires more than ambition. It demands preparation, practical knowledge, and the confidence to navigate the complexities of international trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the Women In Business (WIB) Mentorship Programme, the Ghana Netherlands Business & Culture Council (GNBCC) hosted the Trade Readiness Masterclass: From Local Success to Global Markets<\/strong>, bringing together current WIB participants and alumni for an engaging session on export readiness and cross-border trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The masterclass was facilitated by Millicent Martey (MILT)<\/strong>, Founder of USN Consulting and a Certified Customs Broker, alongside Dr. Edem Nyadudzi<\/strong> and Mawusi Akwetey<\/strong>. Participants explored essential topics including export readiness, customs compliance, trade regulations, logistics, importing for business growth, export contracts, and opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the technical sessions, the workshop provided a valuable platform for entrepreneurs to openly discuss the practical challenges of expanding into regional and international markets. The participation of WIB alumni further enriched the discussions through peer learning and the exchange of real-world experiences, reinforcing the programme’s commitment to fostering long-term collaboration and continuous learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Trade Readiness Masterclass reflects GNBCC’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the capacity of women-led businesses by providing access to practical knowledge, industry expertise, and meaningful professional networks. Through initiatives such as this, the WIB Mentorship Programme continues to empower women entrepreneurs to build resilient, competitive enterprises that are well-positioned to seize opportunities in regional and global markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
