{"id":18827,"date":"2026-08-27T16:24:13","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T16:24:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gnbcc.net\/?p=18827"},"modified":"2026-08-28T12:23:24","modified_gmt":"2026-08-28T12:23:24","slug":"govt-showcases-investment-opportunities-to-global-investors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gnbcc.net\/govt-showcases-investment-opportunities-to-global-investors\/","title":{"rendered":"Gov\u2019t showcases investment opportunities to global investors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ghana\u2019s investment priorities and opportunities across key sectors will be presented to international business audiences in a new series of Global Platform videos featuring Ghana\u2019s President John Dramani Mahama and senior public- and private-sector leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The videos will examine developments in sectors such as agriculture, financial services, ICT, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, tourism, mining, transport, education, utilities and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Produced by Oxford Business Group (OBG), the series will form part of a wider effort to communicate Ghana\u2019s economic direction and sector priorities to global investors and decision-makers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative is being developed under the patronage of President Mahama, whose participation will provide a national-level perspective on Ghana\u2019s investment agenda. The series will culminate in a documentary bringing together the views of government representatives, sector leaders and private-sector stakeholders on the country\u2019s economic outlook.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The videos are being produced following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between OBG and the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA). The agreement will see GIPA partner with OBG to develop and distribute the Global Platform video series internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like its flagship annual country report, <em>The Report<\/em>, OBG\u2019s Global Platform videos provide a platform for senior public- and private-sector figures to discuss market developments, policy priorities and investment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The content will be distributed through OBG\u2019s research platform and international financial and media-information networks, including Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Dow Jones Factiva, S&amp;P Capital IQ and LexisNexis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The agreement builds on a relationship between OBG and GIPA that has developed alongside OBG\u2019s research activity in Ghana. OBG has maintained a presence in the country since 2011, producing economic analysis and conducting interviews with government officials, business leaders and sector specialists. GIPA, formerly the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, was reconstituted under the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority Act, 2026 (Act 1173).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simon Madjie, CEO of GIPA, said the collaboration would help Ghana communicate its investment proposition to international audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGhana has opportunities across a wide range of sectors, and it is important that these are communicated clearly to investors and business leaders internationally. Through this series of Global Platform videos, we will highlight the country\u2019s investment priorities, the work of its institutions and the sectors that can support future growth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ramona Tarta, OBG\u2019s Regional Director for West Africa, said the initiative would build on OBG\u2019s long-standing research presence in Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOBG has covered Ghana\u2019s economy for more than a decade, and this collaboration with GIPA builds on that experience.
