In September, Jemima R. Rockson, head of the GNBCC Diaspora Desk, embarked on an inspiring trip to the Netherlands, where she held dynamic stakeholder engagements with members of the Ghanaian diaspora. This exciting journey culminated in two vibrant events\u2014one in The Hague and another in Amsterdam\u2014designed to connect, educate, and empower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Hague: Networking and Showcase Event<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n On September 27th, in collaboration with the Dutch Export Academy, the event in The Hague provided a platform for DEA participants to showcase their unique products, fostering connections within the diaspora community. Attendees had the opportunity to share ideas and experiences. The goal of the DEA is to equip participants with the necessary expertise and resources to thrive in international trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Amsterdam: Engaging Discussions on Business Opportunities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The following day, September 28th, we gathered at Goldcoast Restaurant, a delightful venue owned by a Ghanaian couple, conveniently located near Johan Cruyff Stadium in Amsterdam Southeast. This event featured engaging panel discussions on doing business in Ghana and the potential for importing and exporting agricultural produce through the value chain. The response from the diaspora was overwhelmingly positive, with members actively participating and expressing a keen interest in learning more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n These events served as a teaser for what\u2019s to come. The diaspora has expressed a strong desire to be equipped with the knowledge necessary to navigate the business landscape in Ghana. There is a clear interest in further education on the processes involved and the myriad opportunities available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are excited about the possibilities ahead and are committed to facilitating more informative sessions that empower our diaspora community.
