After a week embedded in their host companies, all 18 participants of this year\u2019s Horticulture Business Challenge (HBC) cohort reconvened last Friday for a session themed around reflection, feedback, and growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The day began with an interactive workshop on Storytelling and Vlogging, led by Grace Agorigo, Communications and Digital Marketing Officer at GNBCC. Participants explored the power of storytelling as a personal, professional, and business tool, learning the 4 P\u2019s of storytelling \u2014 People, Plot, Place, and Purpose. Practical exercises demonstrated how authentic stories can build identity, influence, and long-term stakeholder trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the vlogging side, participants discovered that effective digital storytelling does not require high-end production. Instead, success lies in clarity, authenticity, and sound quality. To apply these lessons, participants were tasked with producing 90-second weekly vlogs documenting their journey and experiences with host companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The afternoon shifted to peer-to-peer learning, where each team presented their updated business case plans, receiving feedback from colleagues and insights from program coaches. This session built on earlier company visits, ensuring participants were well-settled and aligned with their objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The day closed with an award ceremony celebrating winners of the scavenger hunt and marshmallow challenge held the previous weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With Week 2 successfully completed, the HBC journey continues this Friday with another engaging lineup of practical activities and horticultural skills training in partnership with Holland Green Tech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
