Ghana's Abeiku Jackson missed out on the finals of the men's 50m butterfly swimming event in the ongoing Youth Olympics in Argentina after finishing 7th in the second semi-finals.

He recorded a time of 24.90 seconds which was slower than the time he made in the heats.

Later on Thursday at 7pm Ghana time, Ghana's beach volleyball team of Kelvin Carboo and Eric Tsatsu will face Alexandre Lezcano and Criforth Lobo of Costa Rica in their Pool G match for a place in the next round of the competition.

After losing to Hungary in their first match, Ghana beat Monaco on Wednesday and another victory today will send them through to the next round.

Also in action are Sandra Owusu in the women’s 58kg event in the weightlifting at 5:30pm Ghana time and Solomon Diafo in the men’s 400m event at 8:20pm Ghana time.
