Ghanaian Internationals Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Schlupp ended up on the losing side earlier this afternoon when Crystal Palace suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Watford at the Selhurst Park.
The two Premier League sides faced each other in a 3pm kickoff time with both teams in need of the three maximum points at stake to help their course in this season’s campaign.
The Ghanaian duo despite putting up a good performance on the day could not celebrate with their team at the end of the 90 minutes after they allowed the away side to climb from a goal down to win the match.
Jordan Ayew started the match upfront for Place with support from the flanks from Andros Townsend and Wilfred Zaha. The Black Stars forward lasted 83 minutes before making way for country man Jeff Schlupp to take his place in search of a leveler to at least salvage a point from the game.
The change however could not bear any fruits as the results remained the same at the end of the match. Palace now sits 14th on the English Premier League log and will be coming up against league leaders Liverpool at Anfield on January 19.
