DataBank CEO, Kojo Addae-Mensah has insisted that the Normalisation Committee should have considered the Division One Clubs before calling off the proposed Special Competition.
The proposed competition which was to revive football in the absence of domestic football since June last year was cancelled on Monday after both parties failed to come to an agreement on three consecutive times.
According to the staunch Asante Kotoko supporter, the Division One clubs showed commitment to participate in the tournament hence should have been given the green light to participate in the competition instead of cancelling it entirely.
“Today is a very sad day for Ghana football. I don’t understand what’s going on," he stated on Happy FM.
"This is not our Ghana football, I'm very sad about the situation. The Normalisation Committee should not have cancelled the Special Competition.
"They should go ahead and play the competition with the Division One clubs and forgo the elite clubs."
