GNBCC Hosts Christmas Cocktail to Celebrate a Year of Growth and Collaboration

The Ghana Netherlands Business & Culture Council (GNBCC) brought members, partners, and friends together for its annual Christmas Cocktail at the GNBCC Gardens, marking a warm and reflective close to an eventful year for the Council and its business community.

Held in a relaxed and festive atmosphere, the evening provided an opportunity for meaningful conversations, networking, and appreciation of the achievements and collaborations recorded throughout the year.

Welcoming guests, GNBCC General Manager, Mrs. Hilde Famaey, reflected on her journey with the Council, noting that she joined GNBCC in February 2025 as its new manager. She shared insights into a year characterised by growth, renewal, and a strong focus on delivering value to members.

Mrs. Famaey highlighted that GNBCC welcomed 29 new members during the year, while also acknowledging the importance of member retention and satisfaction as the Council looks ahead to 2026. She emphasised GNBCC’s commitment to ensuring that members clearly experience the added value of belonging to the network through enhanced services and stronger networking opportunities.

Reflecting on new initiatives introduced in 2025, she cited the CEO/CFO Dinner as an example of targeted engagement designed to create peer-learning and networking opportunities for senior executives. She also encouraged members to actively participate in the ongoing membership survey, noting that feedback would guide future programming and improvements.

The General Manager further outlined key organisational developments, including the new GNBCC website and the introduction of a new newsletter format, which now reaches a wide audience of 500+ beyond GNBCC’s membership base through social media channels. Members were encouraged to leverage these platforms to share announcements, promote initiatives, and engage with the broader business community.

Mrs. Famaey expressed appreciation to the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ghana for its continued support across GNBCC’s programmes. She underscored the strong collaboration between the Embassy and the Chamber, describing Ghana as a positive example of close cooperation between diplomatic missions and business chambers.

Looking ahead, she shared optimism for 2026, highlighting plans for renewed programmes, including the continuation of the Private Sector Development Programme in collaboration with the Embassy, as well as the ongoing renewal of the Ghana Seed Partnership.

Concluding her remarks, Mrs. Famaey invited guests to simply enjoy the evening, which blended Dutch and Ghanaian Christmas traditions. The menu and ambience reflected this fusion, creating a warm and inclusive setting that embodied the spirit of the season.
