You’re Invited: Celebrating Four Years of Impact at the PSD 1 Closing Ceremony

The GNBCC, in collaboration with the Netherlands Embassy, is thrilled to invite all alumni, project stakeholders, and GNBCC Members to the official closing ceremony of the first edition of the Private Sector Development (PSD 1) project. Hosted at the Netherlands Embassy, this special event will celebrate the achievements in the Ghanaian horticulture sector and highlight the impactful interventions driven by the Netherlands from 2022 to June 2026.
Over the past four years, the PSD 1 project has championed growth, innovation, and collaboration. This joint ceremony will officially close out several impactful initiatives under the PSD 1 umbrella, including the Horticulture Business Challenge (HBC), Women in Business (WIB), the SME Support Desk, and the Dutch Export Academy (DEA).
The event will acknowledge the incredible growth of the horticulture sector in Ghana and help bridge the gap between horticulture SMEs and financial institutions. As part of this theme, financial and banking service companies will be present to showcase specialized service offerings.
Event Highlights & What to Expect
The evening is designed to offer valuable capacity building, meaningful networking, and a vibrant showcase of success. Young beneficiaries will be equipped with essential career development tools, while impacted businesses will be provided a platform to exhibit their products and project outcomes to stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) and corporate partners.

Program Schedule:
- 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Pre-Program Participant Workshops. This includes an Access to Finance Workshop for current and past entrepreneurs from WIB, the SME Desk, and DEA, alongside an Alumni and Career Development Workshop specifically for HBC participants.
- 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM: Alumni Networking Session. This is a dedicated opportunity for HBC alumni to intentionally network with WIB, DEA, and SME Support Desk participants to explore job and collaboration opportunities.
- 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM: Official Closing Ceremony and Main Program. Guest arrival and seating begins at 6:00 PM, with the official speaking program scheduled to commence at 6:30 PM.
- 6:35 PM – 7:30 PM: The formal proceedings will include welcome introductions, official speeches from an Embassy Representative and the GNBCC, video and live participant testimonials, and the presentation of certificates.
- 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM: The evening will conclude with exhibitions and formal networking, featuring refreshments and a viewing of project outcomes.
