Vivo Energy Reinforces Safety Leadership with 2026 Safety Day Celebration

The GNBCC Premium Member, Vivo Energy Ghana has reinforced its commitment to safety and operational excellence with the celebration of its 2026 Safety Day, bringing together employees, regulators, industry leaders, business partners, members of the media and other stakeholders.

Held in Accra, the celebration provided an opportunity for stakeholders to reflect on the importance of maintaining strong safety standards across the company’s operations and to reaffirm a shared commitment to safety.

The 2026 Safety Day forms part of Vivo Energy’s wider annual safety campaign, which is being observed across its 28 markets. This year’s campaign is centred on the theme “Prepare to Respond”, with a focus on strengthening preparedness for potential emergencies and ensuring effective responses when incidents occur.

The campaign includes activities designed to strengthen safety capabilities, including crisis simulations involving employees, partners, contractors and local health and safety authorities, as well as expert-led sessions focused on sharing best practices.

For Vivo Energy, the annual Safety Day serves as an opportunity for employees and contractors to pause, reflect on their safety practices and identify practical ways to strengthen safety at both individual and collective levels. The company continues to emphasise the safety of its people, partners and the communities in which it operates.
