The GNBCC Member, Access Bank (Ghana) Plc, reaches significant milestone in Ghana’s sustainable finance landscape.

Access Bank (Ghana) Plc has received authorisation from the Ghana Carbon Market Office (GCMO), under the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), to operate as a carbon credit broker, positioning it as the first bank in Ghana to receive this authorisation.

Through its partnership with Aither, Access Bank Ghana will enable its clients to access voluntary and compliance carbon market products, creating new opportunities at the intersection of finance, sustainability and climate action.

This milestone highlights the growing role of financial institutions in supporting the development of Ghana’s carbon market and advancing innovative solutions that connect businesses to emerging opportunities in the green economy.
