Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) Now an Authority

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has officially transitioned into the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA), following the enactment of the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority Act, 2026 (Act 1173).

The new legislation marks a significant development in Ghana’s investment promotion framework and provides a strengthened legal and institutional foundation for promoting and facilitating investment in the country.

The transformation is expected to enhance the Authority’s role in attracting, facilitating, promoting and retaining investments, while supporting Ghanaian businesses seeking to expand into regional and international markets.

The new Act also provides an updated framework for Ghana’s investment promotion efforts, with the Authority expected to contribute to improving the investment climate and supporting the country’s broader economic development objectives.
