GNBCC Hosts Maiden “Step Into Impact” CSR Day

The Ghana Netherlands Business & Culture Council (GNBCC), in partnership with PUM Netherlands, SOS Children’s Villages, and Solidaridad West Africa, successfully hosted the maiden edition of the “Step Into Impact” CSR Day at the GNBCC Gardens on Saturday, 9th May 2026.

The event brought together members of the chamber, partner organisations, exhibitors, and participants for a morning dedicated to wellness, networking, collaboration, and community impact.

The day commenced with an engaging aerobics and yoga session, creating an energetic and refreshing atmosphere for attendees. Participants actively took part in the activities and later shared positive feedback on the experience, describing the session as both enjoyable and rejuvenating. Following the wellness session, participants gathered for a group photograph before the General Manager of GNBCC officially addressed attendees and acknowledged the contributions of the event partners.

Representatives from the partner organisations were also given the opportunity to introduce their organisations and share insights into their work and impact areas. Their presentations highlighted the importance of collaboration and collective efforts toward sustainable community development and social impact.

The event continued with a networking breakfast session with  some  juice and light snacks, creating a relaxed environment for participants to interact and build new connections. Attendees also explored the mini expo and exhibition area, where partner organisations and businesses showcased their products and services while engaging directly with participants and members of the chamber.

Speaking on the impact of the event, the Manager of SOS Children’s Villages shared:

“As a member of GNBCC, we were honored to be featured as an NGO partner for this CSR Day. The event provided an invaluable platform for networking with both corporate entities and fellow NGOs. We have secured several promising contacts and are already seeing the tangible rewards of our membership.”

The manager further noted the significance of prioritising wellness within professional spaces, adding that the yoga and workout sessions served as an important reminder of the value of health and wellbeing.

Exhibitors also expressed enthusiasm about the initiative and the opportunities it created. Miss Ashley Ventures, one of the exhibitors at the event, praised the networking opportunities and overall experience.

“The networking was top-notch, and the yoga session was a particular highlight. As a business owner, these are the types of high-impact environments we look for. I am super excited to be part of the GNBCC family and am already looking forward to future events,” said Aisha Idrissu Ahmadu, Founder of Miss Ashley Ventures.

The successful maiden edition of the “Step Into Impact” CSR Day reflects GNBCC’s commitment to creating initiatives that combine wellness, business networking, collaboration, and sustainable community engagement. Building on the success of this first edition, GNBCC looks forward to expanding the initiative and creating even greater impact in future editions.
