As part of our King’s Day celebrations, the GNBCC in collaboration with the Netherlands Embassy released a Special Publication on Monday, April 27, 2026 in the Business & Financial Times (B&FT). This exclusive feature was dedicated to congratulating King Willem Alexander and celebrating the enduring, dynamic trade relationship between Ghana and the Netherlands.
The publication prominently highlighted all our GNBCC Premium Members and featured dedicated advertorials from some members who took advantage of this high-visibility platform to showcase their impact in Ghana, including Maridav Ghana Limited, PharmAccess, and African Tiger.
Highlights Inside the Publication:
- Exclusive Interview with the Ambassador: A major centerpiece of the feature is an in-depth interview with H.E. Jeroen Verheul, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ghana. He reflects on the milestones of his tenure, the strategic shift from traditional development aid to trade and investment, and the innovative future of the cocoa and horticulture value chains.
- The GNBCC Vision: The publication highlights the evolution of Ghana-Netherlands business relations and outlines the GNBCC’s “Vision 2026,” detailing our ongoing initiatives to bridge markets, support youth and women entrepreneurs, and improve the local business climate.
- Fun Facts About the Netherlands: Did you know that King Willem-Alexander is a trained pilot and one of the world’s only monarchs who can actually fly a plane? The publication also includes a fun, lighthearted section exploring Dutch culture—from the country’s 35,000 kilometres of dedicated cycling paths to the quirky reality of parking too close to Amsterdam’s canals!
We are incredibly proud of this publication and the spotlight it shines on our network. We encourage all members to read through the insightful articles and member spotlights.
