GNBCC CEO/CFO Dinner Meeting: 2026 Post-Budget Review with PwC Ghana

On Thursday, 27th November 2025, the Ghana Netherlands Business & Culture Council (GNBCC) in collaboration with the Royal Netherlands Embassy hosted its exclusive CEO/CFO Dinner Meeting for Premium Members at La Villa Boutique Hotel, Accra. The event, moderated by Mrs. Hilde Famaey, General Manager of GNBCC, brought together senior executives for an evening of insightful dialogue, high-level networking, and strategic reflection on Ghana’s economic outlook following the presentation of the 2026 National Budget.

The evening featured a keynote presentation by Mr. Kwame Ansa Akufo, Senior Manager at PwC Ghana, on the theme “The 2026 Budget: Key Facts and Implications for Business.”

Key Insights from the Presentation

Mr. Ansa Akufo provided an in-depth analysis of the 2026 Budget, highlighting the government’s focus on fiscal consolidation, private sector stimulation, and industrial revitalization. He noted that the budget’s key pillars included:

  • Sustaining macroeconomic stability while improving revenue mobilization through targeted tax reforms.
  • Support for local industries via incentives in agriculture, manufacturing, and export diversification.
  • Digital transformation and innovation as central enablers for efficient governance and private sector growth.
  • Green financing and sustainability initiatives aimed at promoting climate-smart investments.

He further discussed how the government’s borrowing strategy for 2026 anchored largely on domestic investors could shape liquidity conditions and interest rate dynamics in the financial markets.

“While 2026 offers renewed optimism, businesses must adopt proactive tax and financial planning strategies to remain competitive in this evolving economic landscape,” Mr. Ansa Akufo emphasized.
