The GNBCC Visits New Member, SOS Children’s Villages Ghana, to Explore Strategic Partnerships

A delegation from the GNBCC team recently paid a visit to the National Office of SOS Children’s Villages Ghana, following the organization’s recent admission as a member of the Council.

The GNBCC delegation was led by Hilde Famaey, General Manager of the GNBCC, and was warmly received by Alexander Mar Kekula – National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Ghana, together with Marion Durang – Senior Portfolio Manager, Dora Asubonteng – Corporate Fundraiser and Christian Appiah – Board Chairperson of SOS Children’s Villages Ghana.

The meeting provided an important platform to explore opportunities for strategic collaboration aimed at advancing child and youth development initiatives in Ghana. Discussions focused on how the GNBCC’s bilateral business network could support the work of SOS Children’s Villages Ghana through enhanced programme visibility, stronger stakeholder engagement, and expanded partnerships with corporate and institutional actors.

Through its network of businesses and organizations, the GNBCC seeks to facilitate meaningful connections that can contribute to the implementation and scaling of community-based interventions led by SOS Children’s Villages Ghana. These initiatives include programmes that support child protection systems, family strengthening services, and youth empowerment opportunities across the country.

The discussions also highlighted the importance of multi-sector collaboration in addressing complex social challenges affecting vulnerable children and young people. By bringing together development organizations, businesses, and institutional partners, such partnerships can create sustainable and impactful solutions that improve the lives of children and families.
