Yesterday evening a cocktail was held at the Dutch Ambassador’s residence to honour and welcome H. E. Madam Liesje Schreinemacher on the occasion of her visit to Ghana. She arrived that same day at Kotoka Airport.
At the cocktail after an introductionary speech by our Ambassador Mr Jeroen Verheul, he lead the Minister around to meet and introduce a number of people present.
Mr Tjalling Wiarda GM of GNBCC together with Mr Dennis Asare , Snr Researcher at IMANI were to be the first 2 people to introduce themselves to the honourable Minister. The subject was about the current macroeconomic situation of Ghana, the investment climate, inflation, depreciation, high costs of doing business, existing tax regime, challenges and opportunities and more. Most resulting conclusions and recommendations were from the GNBCC IMANI Report on reviewing the current economic and investment challenges and opportunities. The report was based on the Membership survey among GNBCC Members in Q 4 2023 & Q 1 2024.
After this she was introduced to 3 GNBCC Members: Mr Kees Veldhuijzen of Iribov , Mr Hugo Visscher of Koudijs-De Heus and Mr Herbert Friese of Dutch & Co all who spoke about the actual doing business in Ghana.
After that she was introduced to GNBCC’s Jemima Rockson who introduced the new diaspora programme what GNBCC will be implementing. The turnout was good with quite a number of invited GNBCC Members
The next day she would be visiting the Mini fruit & vegetable fair 2024 at the Adenta Fafraha Community School (see picture) and in the afternoon to Cargill and MPS (both GNBCC Members) before she would travel to her next destination in West Africa
