The months of April and May were filled with exciting activities and valuable networking opportunities for our members and partners. We would like to share some highlights:

Workplace Culture and Sexual Harassment Webinar

In collaboration with AB Lexmall Associates, we hosted an insightful webinar on Sexual Harassment in the Workplace, facilitated by Dr. Ainuson. The session attracted a record attendance of more than 80 participants and generated highly engaging discussions on workplace culture, employee well-being, and legal responsibilities. Read more here

Orange Party 2026

In partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and hosted by Deputy Ambassador Wendy van Meel, we proudly invited our members to join the annual Orange Party celebration. The event once again brought together members of the Dutch and Ghanaian business communities for an evening of networking and celebration. Read more here

Women in Business Programme Kick-Off

We officially launched the 2026 edition of our Women in Business (WiB) Programme in the presence of KLM Country Manager Isabelle Indeweij and Deputy Ambassador Wendy van Meel. The programme continues to support and empower women entrepreneurs through mentoring, networking, and business development opportunities. Read more here

GhanaFest Europe 2026 and Trade Mission Launch

In collaboration with the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI), the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), and the Federation of Associations of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE), we were part of the GhanaFest Europe 2026 launch and officially kicked off preparations for the GNBCC Trade Mission to Europe, scheduled for September. Maiden CSR Day

We successfully organized the first edition of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Day in partnership with Solidaridad, SOS Children’s Villages, and PUM Netherlands Senior Experts. The initiative provided members with an opportunity to reflect on the role businesses can play in creating a positive social and environmental impact while strengthening ties with local communities. Economic Update: Ghana Continues on a Path of Stabilization

Following the successful completion of the IMF programme, Ghana’s economy continues to show encouraging signs of macroeconomic stabilization. Inflation has declined significantly to 3.7% in May, the Ghana Cedi has remained relatively stable against major international currencies, and the country’s foreign reserves currently provide around 5.7 months of import cover.

The improving macroeconomic environment has also enabled a gradual easing of monetary conditions. The Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) has been reduced to 14%, while lending rates have started to show signs of moderation. These developments contribute to a more predictable business environment and provide greater confidence for investors and businesses planning long-term investments.

While these achievements are encouraging, Ghana’s long-term economic resilience will depend on continued private sector growth, increased productivity, and further industrialization. Reducing dependence on commodity exports and external economic shocks remains critical. Investment in value addition, manufacturing, agribusiness, logistics, and innovation will be essential to creating sustainable jobs and driving inclusive economic growth.

The outlook for Ghana remains positive, and the country continues to position itself as one of West Africa’s most attractive destinations for investment and business expansion.

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) recently launched the InvestGhana Podcast, a platform aimed at amplifying Ghana’s investment story and showcasing investor experiences and opportunities across the country. Listen to the podcast here

Looking Ahead to June

June promises to be another exciting month for our members:

• Annual Events: We look forward to hosting our annual CEO/CFO Dinner, currently planned for 25 June, as well as welcoming members to our Annual General Meeting.
• Networking & Sports: Football fans can look forward to combining networking and sports during the World Cup matches at Mama Cuisine throughout June and July. More details here
